Two years ago I got a stupid idea to post a few cell phone shots I took of some leaners while walking downtown and rate them. I figured I would give an outlet to the people of Baltimore (and beyond) who were tired of quietly sitting by and watching addiction run rampant through our city.
I had no idea that the response would be so positive, and after two years and nearly four hundred posts I am still receiving great submissions from Baltimore residents who care about our great city. We care enough to show the true cost of addiction, the real effect it has on our city, and the work that needs to start taking place to fix it. We care enough to show kids where that first blast will lead you (if you’re lucky) and hopefully give those addicted the motivation they need to walk away.
Well happy birthday to me, and thank you to all of you who continue to send in great content and share your stories on this site. I wouldn’t be writing this without you.
